To all citizens of Newport, young and old!

This year has been a year like no other. We were unable to have our annual sugaring off, our Christmas market, our Christmas tea or our annual Christmas parties for our children at our Community Centers. Remember children, even if we didn’t have our parties, Santa is still watching, so be good!

As for all the seniors in Newport who loved coming to our Christmas tea, we hope we will be able to come back next year with all kind of goodies and good music.

In the meantime, do not be discouraged and stay strong. Decorate your trees and your homes, because just think of when everyone will be able to get together,

what a joyous time we will all have!

On behalf of the Mayor Mr Lionel Roy, your council and staff of Newport,

have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
